Your account data
Contact Eduardo Rangel at eduardo3d.upwork@gmail.com for questions about your Reptile Scales account or a data access, correction or deletion request.
What the account service processes
Your email, password hash, verification and recovery tokens, purchase reference, license status, installation identifier hash, computer name and activation timestamps are used to verify purchases, protect the account and manage activation. Passwords are not stored in plaintext. Gumroad license keys linked to accounts are encrypted in the server database.
Services involved
Gumroad processes checkout and purchase verification under its own privacy terms. The license service sends your submitted license key and the product ID to Gumroad's verification endpoint and compares the returned purchase email with your verified account email. Northflank hosts the account service and database; Brevo sends verification and recovery emails. Infrastructure providers may also process connection metadata for operating their services. The Houdini tool does not upload your model or generated geometry to the license service.
On your computer
The Windows client stores its activation token and signed offline authorization using Windows DPAPI. It stores a randomly generated installation identifier. Your account password is cleared from the login form after submission and is not saved in the Houdini scene. Local installation and activation files remain until you sign out or remove them.
Cookies and retention
The customer portal uses a necessary account-session cookie and a CSRF token. License checks occur while the tool is online; an offline installation does not contact the service. Account and purchase records are retained as needed to operate your license, provide support and meet applicable obligations. Contact support to request deletion or clarification about retention; deleting an account may prevent future online activation. Checkout payment details are handled by Gumroad and its payment providers, not by the Houdini tool.
Shared account, separate products
If you also use 8KVideoSaver, the same account email and password may be used for both products. Purchase permissions and active-computer records for Reptile Scales remain separate from the downloader.
